Call to the Entrepreneurs

This quote truly ascertains the real worth of money, though I am sure that not many people will agree with me as most of us associate personal wealth with what a person has achieved in his lifetime. Some of the people, we Entrepreneurs really admire and look upto, have been the biggest philanthropists ever .People like Bill Gates ,Warrent Buffet have given more than 50% of their wealth  to the poor and people who need it the most. Obviously we don’t have billions that we can donate, but we can contribute in our own small way. One platform that I think is truly remarkable is Dhanax.

Dhanax is an online-offline person-to-person lending platform that allows Indians to lend and borrow money from each other. Basically, willing lenders are brought in direct contact with needy borrowers. There main targets are Micropreneurs i.e. small farmers, underprivileged women, and micro business owners etc. who pay a heavy interest to land lords to secure funds for their needs/Business. They provide you an online interface from where you can decide whom  you want to lend to and at what Interest rates. You can also keep track of the money lent and payments received. So it acts as a two way mechanism where you are helping people and also generating an income out of it. Personally I have been a big follower of Microfinance/micro credit and truly believe it can transform lives and can bring tremendous changes in the society.

So, I have decided that from next year onwards I am going to  lend to  at least two Micropreneurs, every quarter and help them enhance there life. The Dhanax platform makes the task so easy and elementary.  This is a call to all the entrepreneurs to come forward and help your rural counterparts. Your few thousand bucks are equal to our millions in VC funding for these underprivileged entrepreneurs.
