When someone uses the words technology startups, the companies that come to the mind are Y Combinator, Founder Institute, or The Morpheus. Now SutraBlog (via YourStory.in) reports that the Founder Institute is planning to set up a Mumbai startup accelerator. It is also planning to host a Startup Pitch Bootcamp this Saturday evening at 5 at Xavier’s College in South Mumbai.
According to the Founder Institute, budding entrepreneurs can effectively pitch their ideas if they are prepared. An excerpt from the event page reads, “In just two hours, the Startup Pitch Bootcamp will help you boost your pitching skills and be a stepping stone of your entrepreneurial journey. This intensive, collaborative workshop begins with talks by leading Startup Founders designed to help you understand the key ingredients of a successful pitch that shapes your business plan in the minds of the audience.”
What’s interesting is the lineup of speakers who will be at the Founder Institute Mumbai Startup Pitch Bootcamp. They include Faisal Farooqui of Mouthshut.com, Manak Singh of IkKa Ventures, and Anand Lunia of India Quotient. This startup event in Mumbai would do a lot of good, especially for young entrepreneurs. There are many startups in India that require talent, and thus there is a huge demand for startup recruitment.
